Mandela Day Walk of Giving: Compassion in Action

Our Mandela Day Walk of Giving was a wonderful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for a shared purpose.

Over the weekend, our farm welcomed sponsors, rescue partners, school groups, corporate teams, families, volunteers and animal lovers, all united in support of vulnerable animals. Every step along the 6.7km trail, every donation and every act of kindness helped make a real difference.

We are incredibly grateful to our generous sponsors – Hill’s Pet Nutrition, SIR JACOBS, JOCK Dog Food, Portraits of Pets and Hatfield VW Pretoria – as well as every volunteer, supporter and member of the Woodrock team who made the event possible.

Visitors also had the opportunity to hear from Tracey Bosman and Anita, who shared valuable insights into Woodrock’s outreach work and the importance of education, sterilisation and community support in improving animal welfare.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, donated, volunteered or simply helped spread the word. Together, you made this one of our most memorable Mandela Day celebrations and helped bring hope to the animals who need it most.

We hope you enjoy looking back through the photos and reliving a truly special weekend. Together, we turned compassion into action.
