The Bark-chelor: Three Roses, Three Beautiful Beginnings

Love was truly in the air at Nine Yards on Valentine’s Day when Woodrock Animal Rescue hosted our very first Bark-chelor - a playful celebration of rescue, second chances, and forever homes.
Inspired by the drama of a certain popular dating show, the Bark-chelor swapped cocktail gowns for wagging tails and replaced red carpet moments with rescue stories that touched every heart at the green lung precinct in Parktown North.

And while every pup at our Pop-Pup deserved a rose, our celebrity guest, Nicole Capper, had the incredibly difficult task of selecting just a few.
After much consideration (and more than a few emotional moments), Nicole chose:
Mabel: a 10-week-old black Lab cross with the softest eyes and the kind of playful energy that promises a lifetime of loyalty.
Griffin: gentle, soulful, and ready to bring warmth and companionship into the right home.
Jack: one year old, full of personality, and at that wonderful age where puppy enthusiasm meets growing confidence.
Each of these beautiful dogs represents what Woodrock stands for: rescue, rehabilitation, and the unwavering belief that every animal deserves a second chance at happiness.
While three roses were handed out on the day, the message remains the same: every single rescue at Woodrock is waiting for their forever person.
The show may have ended, but the real love story begins when adoption papers are signed and tails wag their way into new homes.
If you’re ready to meet your perfect match, we invite you to visit Woodrock Animal Rescue and be part of a story that truly changes lives.
