What began after the award-winning real estate powerhouse’s two entrepreneurial children sought to support animal rescue has grown into a meaningful partnership – and the arrival of the new Woodrock Thrift store in Parkwood.
For Byron Thomas, his connection with Woodrock Animal Rescue began with a simple but powerful idea sparked by his children. After making and selling bracelets in their neighbourhood, the two philanthropically minded youngsters set out to donate the money they had raised to an animal shelter. Not just any shelter though – they sought out the one which was voted the number one in animal rescue.
That’s how Byron and his family came to get to know Woodrock Animal Rescue, meeting our rescues and building a lasting relationship. Donations help us in our mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome, and we are grateful each and every time a generous supports our cause.
Byron’s generosity has extended far beyond what we could have ever dreamt – opening the doors of Byron Thomas Properties’ magnificent offices in Parkwood so we can have a new destination for Woodrock Thrift.
This gorgeous new place is where pre-loved fashion and household treasures are given a second life while helping fund the rescue, care and rehabilitation of animals in need.
Located just around the corner from the GardenShop and close to Woodrock’s popular weekend Pop-Ups at Nine Yards, the store is filled with unexpected finds and hidden gems – with each purchase helping to support our ongoing work.
