While audiences are swept away by the iconic song “Memory” in CATS, the cast recently created a few heartwarming memories of their own at the Woodrock Cat Cafe.

Currently captivating audiences at the Teatro at Montecasino until 22 February 2026, the cast took time out of their performance schedule to visit Woodrock’s feline residents - each with their own powerful story of rescue and renewal.
Ché-jean Jupp (who plays Munkustrap in the production) reflected on the visit:
“It was amazing to see how well each cat was treated at the café. Hearing their stories was both sad, but also very inspiring because they all now have a beautiful place to spend their days.”

Nestled in the heart of Kyalami, the Woodrock Cat Café is where purrs truly meet purpose. Guests can relax, unwind and connect with rescue cats in a calm, welcoming space designed for meaningful interaction. The café supports Woodrock Animal Rescue by raising funds, creating awareness and promoting mental well-being through time spent with these beautiful animals.
Whether you’re a theatre lover, a cat enthusiast, or simply looking for a feel-good outing, the café offers a reminder of second chances and the chance to create a few special memories of your own.
